The dark streak continues! A new traffic accident killed two people Monday evening on the road to Cole Bay, including a four-year-old girl. A tragedy that caused a great stir among the population of the island.
The facts took place last Monday, around 22 p.m. in Cole Bay, on Union Road. According to the first elements collected by the police, three cars were involved in a collision. The driver of a Kia Forte passed a car heading towards Philipsburg at the same time as a gray Suzuki Vitara was coming from the opposite direction. The collision was extremely violent. Arrived quickly on the spot, the rescue teams had to extricate the occupants of the vehicles. Three people were transferred to Sint Maarten Medical Center in absolute urgency.
The driver of one of the three cars and a 4-year-old girl sadly died of their injuries later that evening in hospital. The little girl's mother is still hospitalized in critical condition. What a tragedy ! _AF
