At approximately 6:45 a.m. on Tuesday, September 3, the Sint Maarten police telephone exchange received a call reporting the discovery of a man lying on the ground in Well Road in Cole Bay.
A patrol from Simpson Bay Police Station was dispatched to the scene and found that the victim showed no signs of life. The victim had injuries to his upper body and was lying behind one of the GEBE power stations on Well Road. Paramedics and detectives were sent to the scene, along with the doctor, who arrived a little later and could only note the death of the victim.
After a brief investigation by the forensic service and the detectives, the latter determined that it was a suicide. The body of the deceased was returned to the family._RM
