Sint-Maarten: Four new ships for the Dutch Coast Guard!

0

The four new high-speed Metal Sharks for the Dutch coast guard were delivered yesterday!

With this delivery, the Dutch Caribbean Coast Guard (DCCG) has completed the order for 12 boats announced last year. The 38-foot Defiant patrol boats are the result of a multi-year DCCG effort to replace the SuperRibs fleet. The new boats will serve as the main interceptors of the DCCG, patrolling the territorial waters of Saint-Martin, Saint-Eustache and Saba.

DCCG staff will begin their Metal Sharks training to familiarize themselves with the boats. After the training, they will officially start using the patrol boats in Saint-Martin waters.
