The opening of new hotel establishments on the island is a major indication of the strong recovery in the tourism sector. In fact, no less than four additional hotels will be open between December 2019 and February next year.
It is in January 2020 that the Adonis hotel will officially open its doors, although it is expected to open later next month. The fifty-two bedroom hotel, which is located between Porto Cupecoy and Mullet Bay Golf, offers four room categories, all offering fantastic views, officials say.
The Adonis provides its customers with a gym, a bar, a sixty-seat conference room and free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.
Another hotel, the Morgan Resort, will also be operational very soon in Simpson Bay. The Sunwing Group is opening a Planet Hollywood in Great Bay, replacing the former Sonesta Great Bay Beach Resort & Casino which was destroyed by Cyclone Irma. As for the French part, the AMResorts subsidiary of Apple Leisure Group will open, in February, the Secret Saint-Martin Resort & Spa at Anse Marcel. With these new hotel developments, the Saint-Martin / Sint Maarten destination continues to develop its offers and thus offers visitors a wider choice of accommodation. _RM
