The “Le Grand Marché” group inaugurated, last Friday, its first “Carrefour Market” hypermarket, located in Cole Bay. An inauguration took place in the presence of the Prime Minister of Sint Maarten, William Marlin, group leaders, Danny Ramchandani and Anil Sabnani and Jean Despointes, president of the Safro Group, which represents Carrefour in the Caribbean.
The new "Carrefour Market" covers 30.000 square feet of space and boasts over 50.000 references of products adapted to the multicultural richness of the Dutch and French part of the island. The Cole Bay hypermarket will have the privilege of exclusively offering its customers thousands of Carrefour brand references. It will also have a large fresh produce market. In fact, the market space will offer the widest assortment in the butchery, fishmonger and fruit and vegetable department with a daily freshness guarantee. To this space are added the bakery and pastry departments which will be of an international level with many new recipes. The non-food space is not to be outdone, since it too will be reinforced by new technologies and imported products coming from the group's purchasing centers, thus creating strong differentiation and an exclusive offer. The many guests, present at this grand opening, had the privilege of visiting the interior of the facilities of the brand new "Carrefour Market". With general and shared satisfaction!
