Sint Maarten: 15 new people tested positive for Covid-19

As of November 17, 15 people have tested positive for Covid-19 while at the same time 10 patients have been declared cured; causing active cases to remain at 63. The total number of confirmed cases is now 954 since the start of the epidemic.

The Collective Prevention Services (CPS) are still monitoring 57 people placed in isolation at their homes, all with suspicious symptoms linked to the coronavirus.

In addition, 6 patients are still hospitalized at Sint Maarten Medical Center.

The total number of deaths linked to Covid-19 remains at 24.

The number of people cured since the first case declared in the Dutch part has risen to 867.

Another 149 people are also under surveillance after perhaps having come into contact with an active case.

Finally, the health services have already tested 1331 travelers arriving at Princess Juliana International Airport and 7102 people across the country. _AF
