Earthquake: The earth has trembled in Saint-Barth!

A light earthquake, with a magnitude (1) of the order of 4.4, was recorded last Friday May 15 at 21 h 53, we learned from a press release from the Observatory (OVSG).

Its epicenter (2) was located 102 km east − north − east of Saint − Barthélemy, 9 km deep, a hypocentral distance of approximately 102 km. This earthquake could generate, in the nearest affected areas, an average acceleration of the ground corresponding to a macroseismic intensity (3) I (not felt). Depending on the type of soil, the intensities may have locally reached intensity II − III, which is weakly felt. If you felt this earthquake, please testify on the site of the French Central Seismological Office (BCSF),
