Following the strong upsurge in thefts of cars and spare parts, the gendarmerie has created a special group to investigate this phenomenon (see our Friday edition).
"We will also carry out checks with the state services on the sites that store wrecks and damaged cars," announced Lieutenant-Colonel Sébastien Manzoni, in charge of the command of the Saint-Martin company. The objective is to see if stolen cars are stored there and to check if the site managers are in compliance with the regulations in force and have all the authorizations to exercise.
