Sargassum: cleaning of Cul-de-Sac bay

0

Residents of Cul-de-Sac, exposed to the foul smells of sargassum, will finally be able to… breathe. Bay cleaning is in progress.

The Collectivity announced yesterday the kickoff of the cleaning of the bay of Cul-de-Sac via the company Dormoy Lewis. The teams have been on site since last Saturday. The bay cleanup is expected to be completed by Wednesday. "Sargassum is stored in the Fish Day car park, and the algae will be transported to the Eco-site before being treated and transformed into compost by the sorting center", specifies the COM. The Orient Bay beach is next on the list. As a reminder, the green brigades will soon be on the ground since a call for projects has been launched (deadline August 7). Interested companies are requested to send their application to the prefecture.
