Sargassum: reduction of strandings

0

Seaweed strandings have decreased on the beaches, reports the health agency (ARS). The sectors massively affected by sargassum are now classified in orange, which corresponds to an average quantity.

Cul-de-Sac Bay, Orientale North Bay and Lucas Bay are therefore no longer on the ARS red list, according to the latest survey of data relating to the presence of sargassum in Saint-Martin, for week 47. In these sectors, "the sulfur gas emissions are below the detection threshold," notes the agency. As for Lamigeot, it is the return to green for "absence of strandings and fumes".
