The flu epidemic is intensifying in Saint-Martin according to Santé Publique France. The health authority estimates at 95 cases the number of consultations for flu syndrome carried out by general practitioners last week. Only one visit to the emergency room was recorded.
Saint-Martin entered the epidemic phase in the first week of June. Since then, 205 cases of influenza have been estimated.
In Saint-Barth, Public Health France does not observe an epidemic. In Guadeloupe, the epidemic started in mid-May. The number of cases is estimated at 2660, 59 emergency visits were recorded including four hospitalizations. Two serious cases have been confirmed, one death has been deplored.
