42,25% of the population aged over 12 in Saint-Martin has received at least one dose of covid-19 vaccine since the campaign was launched last January. For those over 18, the vaccination coverage rate is 47,76%. In Saint-Barth, 74,6% of those over 12 received at least one dose of the vaccine. For those over 18, the vaccination coverage rate is 79,05%. These rates are the highest in the French Antilles and are also among the highest in the Caribbean.
According to data collected by Carpha, the Caribbean Public Health Agency (of which the French islands are not members), the territories where the most residents have a complete vaccination schedule are the Cayman Islands, Bermuda, Aruba and the Turks Islands and Caicos with respective rates of 82, 76, 72 and 69%; in the Cayman Islands, 86% of the population received at least one dose, 78% in Bermuda, 78% in Aruba and 69% in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Anguilla also has high rates with 61% of the population fully vaccinated and 63% having received at least one dose. As well as Curacao, Sint Maarten and Antigua with a respective complete vaccination rate of 56, 57 and 53%.
In Barbados, 46% of the population received two doses and 7% at least one dose, the vaccination rate is 52% of the population. In Trinidad and Tobago, the vaccination rate is 45%, in Suriname 43%, in Dominica 39% and 34% in Grenada.
Among the Carpha members, the least vaccinated populations are those of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (25% received at least one dose), Jamaica (21% received at least one dose) and Saint Lucia (28 %). (soualigapost.com)
