HEALTH: 112 new cases of covid-19 on the island last week

For the third week in a row, the island has counted more than 110 new cases of covid-19 in the space of seven days and for the first time, they are more important in the French part than in the Dutch part: 74 against 38.

The cumulative number of cases is 330 in the French part and 549 in the Dutch part, the active cases of 117 and 100.

Last week 261 PCR tests were carried out partly French and 179 partly Dutch against respectively 194 and 82 the week before.

Since the end of August, 117 new cases have been confirmed in part French out of 455 tests and 105 cases out of 261 tests in part Dutch.

21 residents of the French part are hospitalized (18 in Saint-Martin, 2 in Guadeloupe and 1 in Martinique) and 5 in the Dutch part. (soualigapost.com)
