The association “Sandy-Ground on the Move Insertion” (SGOMI) and its partners invite the population to take part in a round table on the theme “Saint-Martin / Sint-Maarten facing the scourge of violence and juvenile delinquency Which will take place on Thursday September 15 at the CCISM.
Increasingly, the population of Saint-Martin and part of its youth are confronted with unprecedented situations of violence. And not a day goes by without us having to deplore an act of violence, delinquency or aggression.
In just a few years, Saint-Martin, whose youth was still spared, was quickly overtaken by the upsurge of violence of all kinds and in all forms. This particularly affects our youth and this is very worrying:
- What are the causes ?
- What are the origins?
- What are the reasons for this violence, these assassinations, these acts full of cruelty and which every day plague Saint-Martin society a little more?
- Is it really inevitable?
After a Press Conference held on Friday, July 29, Julien Richardson, representative of District Council n ° 6 and President of the Sandy-Ground On the Move Insertion Association (SGOMI) invite the population to take part in a round table on the theme: "Saint-Martin / Sint-Maarten facing the scourge of violence and juvenile delinquency" on Thursday September 15 from 18 to 20 pm at the CCISM (Opale room). The crime comes mainly from drugs knowing that St Martin is a hub for drugs, Patrick Lescuyer shot dead, his mother who had investigated the murder of her son was shot also because she had found elements that implicated influential people.
These two crimes have not been solved to date and I think never will be.
For my part I recommend to people wanting to go on vacation to St Martin to avoid this island and to favor islands where there is no insecurity.
