Rainy season: the first 3 months within the norm, or even below

Called the hurricane season, the period from June to November is also the rainy season. During the first three months of this season, 189 mm of rain fell in Saint-Martin.

According to Météo France data based on the period 1991-2020, the average precipitation rate in June is 59,8 mm in Saint-Martin. This year it has fallen to 7,2 mm, a level well below normal.

In July, precipitation was higher with 50 mm recorded, but the rate is still well below normal which is 92,6 mm. 

August was much wetter with 132,8 mm of rain. This time, we are above the normals which are 92,1 mm. In 2021, the precipitation rate was 65 mm. During the first three months of the rainy season (ie half of the season), it fell almost 10 mm more than last year (189 against 198 mm).
