The Bellevue field will regain color and speed (!) This Saturday, October 27, on the occasion of the 1st Rugby 7 tournament organized by the Archiball club.
Other than duration, the rules of the game change very little from Rugby Union, although naturally due to the space available on the pitch it is a very different game to watch. A feature of VII is that sometimes teams first choose to back down to their own goal line to attract the opponent and try to create space elsewhere and then move forward and attack. One thing is certain, the game played by the many teams present should appeal to the public in the know.
Rugby galore all day…
Among the invited clubs, we will note the presence of the Bruc des Abymes and the RCSF of Saint-François as well as the Barracudas of Saint-Barthélemy, without forgetting of course the Archiball.
In addition to the senior tournament, the Archigirls will conduct training in the morning followed by a match against their counterparts from Saint-François and the Rascasses de Saint-Barthélemy.
For seniors, the official tournament will start at 14 p.m. and end around 17:30 p.m.
A refreshment bar will be available to the public pending the next reconstruction of the club house.
