At the Hôtel de la Collectivité, the plenary session for the start of the Territorial Council gave rise to lively discussions between the majority and the opposition.
Before President Aline Hanson's address, the room was invited to a minute of silence in tribute to the victims of Hurricane Matthew. The president then gave an update on the various achievements, including work in schools and secondary schools. The problems of violence in schools were then tackled. “We are working on securing 2nd degree establishments with the State and its services. Safety audits are underway. Qualified technicians are responsible for carrying out an inventory so that we can then secure our establishments. ” _EH
