For the launch of its RECYCLERY project, the SMR company, located on the road from Grand-Case, to Savanne, organized a convivial evening in the presence of many personalities, representatives of the community (Ms. Laborde, territorial advisor in charge of 'environment) administrations, architects, design offices, suppliers, and customers.
We were thus able to discover, the solar garden produced by SMR, under the inspiration of Stéfan DUCENE, allowing everyone to see in situation, a full range of solar lighting. The exceptional landscaping, combining in a small space, various materials, wood, slate, rocks, sculptures and plants ... This aesthetic and harmonious mixture, I am sure, will make you dream.
Established for 1 year in Saint-Martin, SMR All trades relied on the know-how and skills of a Martinican group, which through its varied activities in building and real estate promotion is able to you offer its expertise in the field of construction, renovation, all trades.
SMR has for several years experimented with solar lighting in its real estate programs, in order to be able to offer our partners and customers a rigorous selection of products combining design and technology. Making available, from now on its design office, which will take care of accompanying you to the sandstone of your projects.
Benefiting from a 25-year partnership with manufacturers of secondary works materials (CE standards), thanks to the 400 homes built annually in the Caribbean by the parent company, SMR has just launched a new commercial brand: DIRECT FACTORY. Tiles, natural stone slabs, stone sinks, stone columns, and many products at unbeatable prices.
SMR, led by 3 partners Joseph OTAEGUI, Patrick MOLINARD and Stéfan DUCENE have pooled their skills to offer Saint-Martin residents a business focused on Sustainable Development. To combine at each stage of their activities: Social, economic and environmental.
Stéfan DUCENE, in a few words, could you explain your approach to opening a RECYCLERY, intended for individuals in precarious situations and for associations in charge of reconstruction. By providing them with free reusable secondary materials such as joinery, sheet metal, lumber, sheet metal, sanitary ware, etc., from the deconstruction of buildings.
“After a long career in the treatment and recycling of waste, it seemed to me, along with my associates, that we were investing in the circular economy. With regard to social and environmental issues, this RECYCLING SHOP is open to all professionals on the island, who can provide us with reusable materials which will be made freely available to the population. We have built a partnership with a humanitarian association "PROJECT SXM" represented by Jason BRISBOIS. We are of course counting on the commitment of the community and SXM's economic players to develop this initiative. President GIBBS seems particularly sensitive to this.
You can imagine that the success of SMR in its different activities is to have gathered around a common project, more than 20 employees, from different cultures and horizons. Human and respectful management, focused on a participative model. Where everyone is able to express their talents, and develop them in the common interest. Indeed, in view of the recent events which are shaking our country, it is necessary to know how to value the work which is provided by all: From executives (engineers, works managers, works supervisors ...) to skilled workers and laborers, each bringing a plus value at SMR.
The excellence that we wish to offer to all is directly linked to the company's employees and the partners with whom we work. A happy employee will be able to give the best of himself.
To participate in the economic activity of SXM, we have since our establishment on SXM, recruited young unemployed, to allow them to train and bring added value to their future.
