The primary election selects the candidate from the right and from the center for the 2017 presidential election.
The first round will take place on Saturday in Saint-Martin, but also in Saint-Barthélemy, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Martinique, Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon and French Polynesia. Seven candidates are in the running: Alain Juppé, Nicolas Sarkozy, François Fillon, Bruno Le Maire, Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet, Jean-François Copé and Jean-Frédéric Poisson. Voting is open to all those registered on the electoral list on December 31, 2015. Two offices will welcome voters: one located at the cultural center of Grand-Case and the other at the CCISM in Concordia.
