President Daniel Gibbs presented his wishes to the forces, on Friday, January 31, surrounded by elected officials of the territorial council, Senator Guillaume Arnell, the secretary general of the prefecture, representatives of the institutions, dignitaries of Sint Maarten and representatives forces, field associations and socio-professional organizations. Many young people were also present.
The president has chosen to present his wishes in the reception hall of the Concordia Professional High School, with the students of the high school and those of GRETA to highlight the hotel and restaurant section, whose students prepared the cocktail from A to Z. The ceremony opened to the sound of steel pan with the anthem of Saint-Martin.
“It was important to me to see our young people in the exercise of their future profession and to value them with our socio-professionals, here present, so that they know that these young people are soon to be on the job market. Thank you to them for this great demonstration of local know-how ”.
In his speech, the president presented the actions that will be implemented in 2020 in the area of social and economic development. A year under the theme of social cohesion and co-construction for a territory respectful of Saint Martin's values, prosperous and sustainable.
"It is this pact of trust that I ask you to carry with me," he concluded.
Daniel Gibbs wished everyone present a happy new year and extended his wishes for health, happiness and prosperity to all the inhabitants of Saint-Martin.
