Pending the appointment of whoever will succeed him, the functions of Minister for Overseas France are exercised by decree of June 25, by Elisabeth Borne, the Prime Minister.
Yaël Braun-Pivet was appointed Minister of Overseas on May 20. A week later she went to Guadeloupe and attended the commemoration ceremony for the abolition of slavery. By videoconference, she had spoken with the president of the Collectivity of Saint-Martin, Louis Mussington.
