POLICY: Elected officials equip themselves with tablets

"This is the first dematerialized territorial council", wanted to point out last week Jean-Sébastien Hamlet, territorial advisor in charge in particular of information and communication technologies (ICT). In concrete terms, this means that the twenty-three elected officials have access to council documents by electronic means and no longer receive them on paper.

During the plenary session of June 21, tablets were distributed to them and they then followed a training course to use the "portal of elected officials", training which they put into practice on November 14 during the "first dematerialized council" .

"The portal for elected officials allows them to have secure access wherever they are, to all of the documents accompanying the deliberations of a territorial council", specifies Jean-Sébastien Hamlet whose ambition is to reduce the use of paper. Between January and June, fifteen sheets had been printed and sent to elected officials.
