Professional Training Territorial Plan: The first training sessions have started!

0

The Collectivity of Saint-Martin started, on Friday, May 17, the first training sessions as part of its Territorial Plan for Professional Training 2019-2020, initiated last March by the 3rd Vice-President, Annick Pétrus, in responsible for employment, apprenticeship and vocational training.

It was at the Fore IDN training center that the first training sessions began with first refresher sessions - French as a Foreign Language. 15 trainees took part in the training which will take place over a period of 500 hours, including 140 hours in a company. This specific training allows you to acquire the first bases of French, as defined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Other training must begin in different training centers in the territory, however despite the diversity of the training offered, the sessions are struggling to fill up.

The Collectivity will soon organize a new information campaign, in order to present the training available and to refer those interested to this "school" of the 2nd chance.

The Collectivity indeed recalls that 30 training modules are currently open for registration and invites the population, in particular 18-24 year olds, to take advantage of this system financed with the help of the European Social Fund (ESF). Thus, the first part of the Territorial Plan is directly modeled on the needs expressed by the local economic fabric and presented in the presentation booklet. Among these training courses, there are upgrades for trainees, training in construction trades, or in service and socio-cultural activities.

"The training meets the needs of local businesses, and Pôle Emploi is responsible for implementing it with training organizations," says Vice-President Annick Petrus.

The 2019-2020 training booklet is available on the Collectivity website: www.com-saint-martin.fr
