Three men, born respectively in 1963, 1974 and 1984, appeared on December 14 before the criminal court of Saint-Martin for fraudulently stealing three pieces of kit furniture and office chairs, for a total amount of 350 euros in a store in Bellevue after the passage of Irma. A local resident warned the gendarmes, who caught them in the act.
Not all three men with a criminal record are eligible for a stay. One was sentenced to a fine of 30 days at 10 euros and the two to 15 days suspended prison sentence and 200 euros fine each. They must also pay 127 euros in procedural costs.
