Pétanque (Saint-Barth Grand Prix): Saint-Martin players surrounded by a plethora of world champions!

The Saint-Barth club offered itself a choice line-up last weekend during the 5rd edition of the “Saint-Barth Grand Prix” with the presence in particular of Philippe Suchaud, crowned 13 times world champion in pétanque. Who says better ?

Right-handed and playing mainly as a marksman, Philippe Suchaud is part of the Elite category.

He formed with Henri Lacroix  and Philippe Quintais the Dream Team of recent years. With 8 titles, he holds the record for victories at the Masters, without forgetting his 13 titles of world champion, 2 titles of European champion, his 4 victories in the European club cup, 7 successes in the French club cup. and 11 in the French championships.

Last weekend, with the experienced Pascale Montorio, Philippe Suchaud showed off his talent in front of Saint-Martin pair Julien Belloni and Guillaume Daviaud. The two residents of the Cariboule club of Saint-Martin, authors of a good journey to the final, were not able to dispute the superiority of their opponents for one night.

This  5rd edition of the Grand Prix de Saint Barth will have been marked by the presence of many champions such as the Hureau brothers (Christophe and Damien), both with impressive records, or even the youngest Caroline Bourriaud (22 years old), world champion in triplet in 2017.
