As every year for four years, on the occasion of International Women's Day, the Avenir Sportif Club de Saint-Martin, is organizing on March 12, the fourth edition of "La Saint-Martinoise", a 100% female race .
The 2015 edition brought together nearly 250 women, runners and walkers. The club hopes for even more participation from the fairer sex this year.
Like the previous editions, "La Saint-Martinoise, 100% female race" will start at 16 pm on the Marigot waterfront for a 5 km circuit in the heart of the city. Three tests will be offered:
- 5 km individual race
- 5 km race in duo Mother-Daughter (from 12 years old)
- 5 km individual walk
A collective warm-up will be offered from 15pm with the SXM Fitness team.
While waiting for the rewards, there will be many gifts to be won during the raffle. Then it's time to party with “Afro Caribbean Dance” hosted by choreographer Deyon, from “Rhythm & Groove Dance Studio Association”.
Small novelty this year, registrations will take place in two stages and the gifts will start to rain upon registration:
- March 5 from 9:30 a.m. to 18:30 p.m. at the Quicksilver store in Hope Estate. The first 100 women to register will receive as a gift: a 25% reduction coupon valid from March 5 to 12 in partner stores of the operation.
- March 11 from 9:30 a.m. to 18 p.m. and March 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 13 p.m. at the SPORTECH store. Note that on Sunday March 6, the club will offer those who wish the opportunity to spot the course. Meet at the start line at 6 am. Participation is € 30 or $ 10. A medical certificate of less than three months will be required for runners only.
