The former president of the Law Commission of the National Assembly, Yaël Braun-Pivet thus enters the government as Minister of Overseas Territories, replacing Sébastien Lecornu, appointed to the Ministry of the Armed Forces.
Lawyer by profession and aged 51, Yaël Braun-Pivet is from Meurthe-et-Moselle. In June 2017, she was elected deputy in the 5th district of Yvelines. After joining the Socialist Party, she joined La République en Marche in 2016. _AF
