0

Preventive maintenance work began this Thursday, September 8 on the Simpson Bay Bridge. These works, which will continue until Thursday, September 15, 2022 inclusive, lead to changes in schedules for the opening of the bridge.

The Simpson Bay Lagoon Authority (SLAC), responsible for the management of the Simpson Bay lagoon on the Dutch side, including the operation and maintenance of the bridges, informed maritime operators, boat owners and the population last Wednesday that maintenance work preventive measures will be carried out on the Simpson Bay Bridge. Maintenance work on the bridge therefore began on Thursday, September 8 for a period of one week. End of construction on Thursday, September 15, 2022. The scheduled bridge openings of 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. are canceled during this period, which will allow painters and maintenance teams to work between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 15:00 p.m., without hindrance. The Simpson Bay Bridge will therefore open exceptionally at 8 a.m. and 30 a.m. until Thursday, September 11 and regular openings from 30 p.m. are maintained. Despite the need to carry out this maintenance work, the Simpson Bay Lagoon Authority apologizes to the marine traffic uses and stakeholders for any inconvenience this may cause and thanks them for their cooperation. Resumption of normal opening hours of the Simpson Bay Bridge on Friday, September 15, 15. _VX
