Boating: A dream day for students from Saint Martin / Sint Maarten aboard the “SHERAKHAN” superyacht

On Saturday, February 29, the owner of the Sherakhan superyacht invited 20 students from Saint Martin / Sint Maarten aged 14 to 17 to spend a day on board the superyacht and thus have a unique and exclusive maritime experience.

Thanks to the initiative of the Caribbean Sail Training Association, young people were able to benefit from all the services and attention of SHERAKHAN without paying the 425 euros that a week's charter costs!

The maritime day started at 8 am with the transfer of all the guests from Simpson Bay to the superyacht by tender, then the captain and the team made their presentation. The students then visited all of the ship's stays in a small group before being offered breakfast on board.

After sailing to the island of Tintamarre, the students were able to enjoy all the water sports that the boat could offer: Jet ski, Seabob, Super Marble, snorkeling and jacuzzi on board.

Then, the chef organized on the upper deck of the boat, a full barbecue with several side dishes, drinks and desserts.

At 17 p.m., the students returned to shore with the memory of having spent an unforgettable day aboard a superyacht and with the dream of repeating this magnificent experience.

Caribbean Sail Training has already invited many young people on tall ships and yachts in recent years, mainly in cooperation with the Antilles maritime school in Saint Martin and the Yacht Assistance maritime agents. Well done to them!
