The second edition of the Caribbean Multihull Challenge takes place next weekend. Organized by the Sint Maarten Yacht Club, this regatta is reserved only for catamarans and trimarans (unlike the Heineken Regatta which also hosts monohulls).
In January, nearly twenty boats from 28 to 70 feet had already announced their participation, among which the fastest, Argo skippered by the American Jason Carroll and Maserati whose captain is Giovanni Soldini.
The Caribbean Multihull Challenge 2020 will take place in three races, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, departures will be given at 10 a.m., 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. respectively.
This year, new, the French side is hosting one of the stages, that of Saturday. This day, the departure will be given from Simpson bay but the arrival will be at Grand Case. Prizes will be awarded at Captain Frenchy and Rainbow Beach Café where parties will be organized. Sunday at 10:30 am, the boats will leave from Grand Case to return to Simpson bay. The awards ceremony will take place from 18pm at the Yacht Club. (soualigapost.com)
