About forty swimmers took part in the first major competition of the season organized by the Carib Swim Club and sponsored by the insurance company “Guardian Group”.
Most of the swimmers have already improved their times at the start of the season and six of them have managed to break internal club records, including French team swimmers Matias Piazza and Joey Schvartz-Arnaud. Joey obtains a new qualifying time for the National Championships which will take place in Rennes in December. He is the first swimmer in Saint-Martin to qualify for the French Championships (where he will swim the 200, 400 crawl and 200 medley).
Swimmers progress quickly and will have the opportunity to achieve new performances in upcoming competitions:
- November 14: annual "Harbor to Pier" open water race organized by LAB Sports Academy
- November 21: “Fall Pentathlon” organized by Carib Swim Team
- December 11 and 12: “Holiday Bash” organized over two days by Carib Swim Team
