Renowned pianist and keyboard genius, Kimball Gallagher recently performed in an intimate concert at Samanna in front of an audience of guests charmed by the character and his remarkable performance.
The scene was improvised on the restaurant terrace overlooking the swimming pool. About twenty tables have been placed in a cabaret style to accommodate around forty people in compliance with sanitary measures. The decor was set, the public quickly completed it. Presented by Eleonore Astier-Petin, director of the prestigious hotel, Kimball Gallagher expressed his joy to be back in Saint-Martin for this unique and unprecedented concert. Known and recognized since 2008, this piano virtuoso continues to travel the world to offer a performance that revitalizes the world of classical music that some might wrongly consider too dusty. Kimball Gallagher impresses both with his playing and the anecdotes he shares between each song. Founder of the 88 International association, Kimball is committed to working with children on every continent with creative projects combining music with education and international cooperation. A fine connoisseur of Chopin, the musician is not left out when it comes to composition, whether it is his own or with other young composers met during his travels. The concert program was intended to be eclectic, like Kimball Gallagher who likes to mix genres: Chopin, Taiwanese melodies, a composition by a very young pianist (11 years old) with very great predispositions, a creation by Kimball himself to finish to an air by Brahms.
