The Métimer association will organize next month a discovery day in Tintamarre for young people, in collaboration with many partners, including the Nature Reserve, the Collectivity and the prefecture.
Scheduled for Wednesday, December 2, the objective of this event entitled “Sea discovery day” is to “discover to our young people the sea and marine fauna, the importance of our natural resources, the pleasure of sailing on a sailboat and the seafaring trades, which are so numerous… Who knows, maybe one day some of them will become captain of a pleasure boat or specialist in the nautical field ”, mentions the association, which hopes that this event will become an annual meeting. During this day, many water activities will be offered to young people.
Call to rental companies
Several companies have already made their boats available for this event. Métimer is appealing to other operators to find more boats to accommodate 150 young people and 30 guides (around 20 boats).
