WEATHER: Yellow alert until Friday

0

Since yesterday, the island has been crossed by a tropical wave which requires increased vigilance for the next 24 hours. Stacks of 50 mm are possible locally. The east to southeast wind blows in gusts of 60 to 80 km / h. The rains and thunderstorms are expected to intensify today. A gradual improvement is planned for the night of Thursday to Friday.

Precautions:

Inform yourself regularly of the weather situation and be particularly careful:

- If you have to practice risky sports outdoors

- If your outdoor activities are located in an exposed area, on land or at sea

- If you have to travel in areas liable to flooding (crossing fords, ravines or passage encased at the bottom of hills in particular)

- In thunderstorms: avoid using telephones and electrical appliances. Do not take shelter near pylons or poles or under a tree
