Marigot: The city center again open to traffic

0

The Water and Sanitation Establishment of Saint-Martin reopened rue de la Liberté, rue du Palais de Justice and rue Kennedy in Marigot, Saturday evening December 3, after four months of work on the network and sanitation.

These works made it possible to install new pipes in this downtown area where the networks were very old. Two potable water lines and one waste water line were replaced. The workers are currently working on the final cleaning of the area and the rehabilitation of the sidewalks on which the manholes of the sewerage networks are installed and the arrivals of distribution of drinking water to users; 10 days of work which will put an end to this important phase of rehabilitation. The quality of the water and sanitation network is a necessity for the territories in terms of public hygiene and service to the population; Saint-Martin is part of this dynamic and is catching up with its structural backwardness.

Aware of the impact on economic activity, the establishment of Water and Sanitation has made every effort to respect its initial schedule and once again thanks the merchants and residents of the center of Marigot for their patience and comprehension. _AF
