The Water and Sanitation Establishment of Saint-Martin informs the population that the phase of works to rehabilitate the water networks, launched in August 2016 in the city center of Marigot, is soon coming to an end.
For technical reasons, the company supplying the asphalt will not intervene on November 30, 2016, as initially planned. The asphalt mix on rue de la Liberté will be done the day of Friday, December 2; the street will be reopened to traffic on Saturday December 3. The asphalt mix on rue Kennedy and rue du palais de Justice will be done on Saturday, December 3; the two streets will be reopened in the process.
The Saint-Martin Water and Sanitation Establishment thanks the population and the merchants for their patience and understanding. The works were long, but they were essential in view of the catastrophic state of the networks. The teams did their utmost to complete this site on time, unfortunately the installation of the asphalt is conditioned by the availability of the only company supplying this material located in Sint Maarten.
The EASM would like to apologize to residents and traders for this delay of two days on the initial schedule.
