On the occasion of the “Pink October” campaign, the Rotaract Saint-Martin Nord Club invites the population on Sunday to its walk against breast cancer entitled “Walk the Walk for Breast Cancer”. Meet at 5 a.m. in the Galisbay car park.

"Breast cancer is the most common cancer and the leading cause of death from cancer in women, detected at a relatively early stage, it can be cured in more than 90%," said the president of Club Rotaract Saint- Martin Nord Martine Beldor. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), more than 500.000 women worldwide die from this cancer each year. As part of the "Pink October" operation, the Minister of Health Marisol Touraine opened a citizen and scientific consultation on screening for this cancer, in conjunction with the National Cancer Institute (Inca). For women who are particularly exposed, she also announced 100% coverage of screening tests. The “Walk the Walk for Breast Cancer” circuit is as follows: sports hall, Concordia, Marigot, rue de Hollande, Bellevue, Simpson Bay Bridge, rue de low town, waterfront, and back to the sports hall.
