The adoption of the new cross-border cooperation program, covering the whole of our island, by the European Commission was confirmed on December 15 by press release. "The total budget of the program for the period 2014-2020 reaches 12 million euros, including 10 million euros coming from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)", specified the commission. This program has two priority areas: protecting the environment and improving water and sanitation infrastructure, and preventing the risk of flooding.
