Last week the government launched a new phone number for people who were victims of sexual violence as children.
This telephone platform is set up by the Independent Commission on Incest and Sexual Violence against Children (Ciivise) whose priority is to listen to the victims and, if necessary, to refer them to the services of psychological, social or legal assistance.
The first objective of this call for testimonies is to know the extent of sexual violence against children, its mechanisms and its impact on victims, the second is to better prevent sexual violence against children and improve protection and support for victims.
It is also possible to testify from overseas by dialing 0 800 100 811. The call is then received by SOS Kriz in Martinique. The association operates every day of the week and 24 hours a day. It can be called upon for subjects other than incest. (soualigapost.com)
