Following the numerous rainy episodes in recent days and when two of our ponds were found to overflow (Etang Guichard and Grand Case pond), the community was obliged to have these two ponds opened on the sea yesterday.
A bathing decree is in force, the primary objective being the protection of people and surrounding property. The order prohibits swimming on the beaches of Friar's Bay and Grand-Case until further notice.
