Passengers in transit at Pointe-à-Pitre for Saint-Martin are invited to be tested

Since Tuesday, May 19, a collection point has been in effect at Pointe-à-Pitre airport. Persons in transit to the northern islands are invited to be sampled there if they cannot produce a test at their initial place of departure.

If non-residents of Guadeloupe arrive without a test in the northern islands, they will be invited to carry out a first test no more than 24 hours after their arrival in Saint-Martin or Saint-Barthélemy. A new test at 8 days of their arrival will also be offered to them because it is within this period that the viral load is most likely to be expressed. They must also agree to follow a strict fortnight at home or in alternative accommodation.

“The challenge for all of us remains to keep our territory green. Active surveillance and prevention measures are being stepped up to maintain a low viral circulation. Efforts must be maintained: barrier measures, physical distancing ”, underline the health authorities.
