Since the 1er December, the 2020/2021 promotion in tourism marketing at the Fore Iles du Nord training center, unveils its XMAS countdown to help people discover Saint-Martin in 24 Facebook posts broadcasting their favorites every day on SXM.

A project for the tourism

The economy of Saint-Martin is 95% dependent on tourism, so since August 2020, the Fore Iles du Nord training center has offered a Professional Title, Bac +2 level, of Local Tourism Coordination Manager. Within this training in tourism marketing, approved by the Pôle Emploi and the Collectivité de Saint-Martin, learners have 13 months to develop their tourism skills and become the actors of tomorrow's tourism.

A project for Saint-Martin

For 3 months that they have been meeting each other daily, 3 months that they have shared their Saint-Martin, the learners have realized that each has a different vision of their island. At the beginning of November, they then had the idea to make the inhabitants of the island discover all the richness and diversity of their territory. Driven by their love for Saint-Martin, everyone wanted to highlight their favorite spots on the island: restaurants, shops, landscapes… They shed light on all that Saint-Martin has to offer in 24 Facebook posts like a calendar of digital advent.

A collaborative project

Supported by the network of the Fore Ile du Nord training center, the project found an echo with the online influencer SXM Epicure Club, who immediately accepted the adventure. “Our island needs more than ever virtual ambassadors to promote itself on social networks. And if we can train local youth to do it, then I validate the project at 200% ”explains the creator of the SXM Epicure Club Facebook page. With more than 32 followers, SXM Epicure Club has thus given carte blanche to the 000/2020 promotion to promote Saint-Martin in this common project. “Thank you to Sxm Epicure Club for contributing to the promotion of St Martin and allowing interns to contribute too! »Concludes, Manon Bisson, training manager at Fore Iles du Nord.
