“The unemployment figures are alerting us and the Collectivity must quickly take new strong and incentive measures towards our companies, in particular in terms of preference for local employment”, indicates Wendel Cocks, the vice-president of the Collectivity in charge of economy, through the press, underlining Dauphin Telecom's commitment to Saint-Martin. This company “has integrated a fiber optic technician into its workforce following a preselection procedure in partnership with Pôle emploi. The successful candidate has followed additional training in line with the needs of the company ”. The vice-president hopes that this approach will encourage other companies “to register in a perspective of real local preference for employment”.
