LEGISLATIVE: Declarations of candidacy must be filed next week

Men and women wishing to stand in the legislative elections must submit their candidacy before Friday 20 May. Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy form a single constituency, so candidates will have to represent both islands in the National Assembly.

Several candidates are already known. Among which, those of Claire Guion-Firmin, outgoing deputy invested by Les Républicains, Sabrina Rivere Bonzom, candidate without label. The two women will officially present to the media. their candidature on Wednesday and Thursday evening respectively.

The presidential majority party, Together, said in a press release that it had invested Frantz Gumbs.

Daniel Gibbs also said he would run for office.
