On three evenings on August 10, 11 and 13, the hotel restaurant Le Temps des Cerises (LTC) in Grand-Case organized for the first time on the island a show combining humor, magic and hypnosis. Audiences have been won over by the LTC Comedy Club, and rightly so.
To liven up each evening, five artists: Kader Bueno, magician and comedian, Fiora Amara, stand-up comedian, Aziz Aboudrar, comedian and improviser, Ado Pharaon, hypnotist, and Bayou Sarr, also comedian. It is also the latter who lent himself to the game of master of ceremonies, heating the room between the various artistic performances. Aziz Aboudrar set the tone as soon as he entered the stage, his opening sketch on the history of Saint Martin and his first visit to the territory sparked laughter as quickly as the flow of his punchlines. Soon after, Flora Amara took over. The only woman on the bill, she did not fail to recall it, played with it and made it her strength. His many interactions with the public reacting to his cynically funny remarks will have marked the first edition of the LTC Comedy Club. Bayou Sarr then returned to the stage with Aziz Aboudrar for a memorable improvisation, accompanied by two people chosen from the audience, Patricia and Genja. The two artists, positioned at the bottom of the stage, lent their voices to them by improvising a dialogue between two characters embodied by the two guests who remained on the podium and whose lips moved to the voices of the comedians. Hilarious. Around 22 p.m., it's time for Kader Bueno and his multiple magic tricks, each more impressive than the next. The first was made with the help of a child present in the audience and whose parents found their €50 note in an orange. The legendary card trick has found a prominent place in his performance. Several minutes after this, many people in the audience were still whispering as they searched for the solution. But a real magician never reveals his secrets. The highlight of the show for Kader Bueno was when he summoned a white dove from his magic book. And to close the LTC Comedy Club, the magnificent Ado Pharaon, hypnotist whose comic potential was felt from the start of his performance. First retracing a part of his personal history, between his childhood and his career as a professional dancer, Ado Pharaon carried out various hypnosis tests with the public in order to identify the most receptive people. The artist recalled the three fundamentals for a session to be productive: concentration, imagination and letting go. In a warm, deep voice, the hypnotist invited several members of the congregation to join him on stage. Ado Pharaon continued the hypnotic experience by plunging them one by one into a deep sleep. The technique that seems so easy at first glance is impressive. Also the speed of execution. For the humorous touch but always with an extreme benevolence, Ado pushed the hypnosis of some until making them react to a first name which was not theirs, to weigh down their feet so much that they could not move any more or even to have them chant "long live OM" in front of an audience of PSG supporters.
