The 2017 Council of Europe Museum Prize was awarded to the ACTe Memorial in December 2016. The Council of Europe Committee on Culture, Science, Education and Media officially presented this distinction yesterday at the museum in metropolitan France, in Strasbourg. The Caribbean center of expressions and memories of the slave trade and slavery thus succeeds the European solidarity center of Gdansk in Poland and the MUCEM of Marseille.
