This year, three brands signed an agreement with the State relating to the implementation of the quality-price shield (BQP). Cadisco and Petit Casino have also chosen to join this process alongside Super U, which alone launched the system last year.

The BQP is a system aimed at guaranteeing the same price for a basket of selected essential products during a given period.

In Saint-Martin in agreement with the distributors, the State services have set the price of said basket at 98 euros. In the four Cadisco stores and in the two Petit Casino stores, the basket is made up of fifty products divided into two sub-baskets (food products and hygiene / household / maintenance products), the respective amounts of which must not exceed 64 and 34 euros. . In the two Super U stores, the basket is made up of 56 products divided into three sub-baskets (food products; hygiene / household / maintenance products; infant products), the respective amounts of which must not exceed 53, 25 and 20 euros. The BQP requires distributors to maintain this global price of 98 euros for one year; the price of an item may vary.

During the first year of the BQP, regular checks were carried out at Super U by the fraud and competition services; the prices of the items were recorded and added to ensure compliance with the commitment.

In the coming days, the list of selected products will be displayed at the entrance of each store. (soualigapost.com)
