Former Minister Lucette Michaux-Chevry taken into custody

The former minister of Edouard Balladur, Lucette Michaux-Chevry, was placed in police custody in Guadeloupe, last Wednesday, in particular for alleged "embezzlement". 

Lucette Michaux-Chevry, 88, who presides over the Greater South Caribbean community (formerly CASBT), was heard as part of a letter rogatory by the magistrate of Basse-Terre "concerning an investigation started in 2016 and which had resulted in three indictments in January, said Samuel Finielz, prosecutor of the Republic of Basse-Terre.
