The Save Our Sharks Project was launched yesterday by the Dutch Caribbean Nature Alliance. This is a petition calling for better protection of sharks, particularly in the territorial waters of Sint Maarten. “On a global scale, sharks are threatened by overfishing and the destruction of their habitat. By signing the petition, people can show their support for the conservation of sharks and encourage decision makers to protect them, ”said the organization. During the Sint Maarten Shark Week in June, the document will be presented to the Council of Ministers of the Dutch side.
