The 2nd edition of “Secularism Day at School” - established by the President of the Republic François Hollande after the January 2015 attacks - will be held on December 9 in the Northern Islands. During this event, several classes - first and second degree students - will present their production at the Galisbay sports hall, from 9 am to 11 am, announced the education service of the Northern Islands. Last year, the results were positive: nearly 5.900 pupils took part in the activities. Secularism “is not an opinion but the principle which authorizes them all. It guarantees all citizens living together in freedom of conscience and the freedom to practice a religion or not to practice any ”, according to the government. _EH
